The Xcel Student of the Year Awards 2008

The Xcel Student of the Year Awards were presented at a ceremony and gala dinner in central London on the evening of Monday 6th October 2008.

Singer, Kelly Rowland, made a special appearence at this year's awards

Winners received their awards and £500 whilst attending an exclusive gala dinner held in the Tower Hotel.  Besides enjoying their special evening with their own guests, they also mixed with a range of celebrities from the worlds of business, sport, music, film, entertainment and politics.  Also in attendance were business leaders and leading academics.

The evening commenced with a welcome glass of wine or drink in the main upper floor entertainment suite, with its views of the River Thames and Tower Bridge; before the awards dinner in the adjoining ball room.

After having dinner and receiving their awards, winners, their guests and the invited celebrities all had the opportunity to join in the Kiss 100 after-dinner party.

Xcel is determined to celebrate in the best possible way the achievements of these young people.  We hope the evening reflected the success of our winners and we would like to thank our media partners and sponsors who helped to promote this ‘good news’ story.
